Kairos Outside Ministry to Hold 2nd Annual Holiday Shopping Bazaar!

We are honored to host this wonderful organization’s second annual Holiday Shopping Bazaar at the Patrician this Saturday, November 30th  and Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 9 am to 3 pm. Admission is $3.00.

The bazaar will feature over 70 vendors including at least 60 that feature handcrafting. This is one of the best craft shows in Northeast Ohio. Santa will be onsite for pictures with children. There will be 10+ door prizes called every half hour. Also, The Patrician will provide lunch for a small fee.

Last year, over $10,000 was raised for Kairos Outside Northeast Ohio Women’s Prison Ministry by both the Spring and Holiday craft shows. These funds helped provide a free weekend retreat for the ladies who are impacted by a loved one who is incarcerated.

The Kairos Outside Ministry Program provides a comfortable, non-judging retreat for women to support each other as they journey through the incarceration of a friend or relative. The program is interspersed with music, prayer and fun activities. Any 20-year-old or older female family member whose life has been impacted by the incarceration of a loved one, or a woman who was unable to attend Kairos Inside while in prison, is eligible to attend Kairos Outside.

American Flags at Washington Monument

Boulevard of 500 Flags

The Boulevard of 500 Flags in Eastlake, Ohio is a very special place. The idea came about on Memorial Day, 1995. According to the organization’s website, over 500 flags were purchased through generous donations of over $25,000 from local Veterans groups and local businesses so that Eastlake would have a way to honor veterans all year round, not just on holidays. The organization honors 26 serviceman who “were killed in the line of duty or missing in action from World War I to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Eighteen flags flying at half-staff still honor these 26 servicemen today.”

Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 6-11 p.m. there will be a fundraiser at Patrician to support this important site. The event includes dinner, an open bar, Chinese Auction, silent auction, side boards, a 50/50 Raffle, door prizes and more. Tickets are $35.00 and can be purchased at Eastlake City Hall and on their website: https://www.500flags.org/announcements Proceeds from the event will support the upkeep of the Boulevard of 500 Flags.
